I’ve been on a two-week long vacation from Singapore and I’m still trying to re-adjust back to the beehive of activity as Reader Con approaches. There’s just so many things to do! But this kind of busyness is something I thoroughly enjoy as it involves everything bookish. Here’s what’s been happening so far:
Luna East Anthology is out in book stores!
Sometime last year, I wrote a short story set in a fictional prep school called Luna East Arts Academy. Together with fellow authors, we collaborated to bring about an anthology set in this imagined universe reminiscent of our experiences in high school. We even had a book launch! And now it’s in book stores! How awesome is that? Hope you can get your copies at your nearest Powerbooks branches. I’ll keep tabs if Fully Booked and National Book Store carries them already.
Pre-order my books!
I’ve finally gotten around to do a print run for my books. Thank you to those who’ve been asking about it, and now it’s here! Three of my books are now available for pre-order, so if you’re into print books, this might be your thing. Please fill out the form so I can send you copies. 🙂
…and of course, the biggest event this month…
The 5th Filipino Reader Con!
I’ve been sleeping less preparing for this exciting event, but I regret nothing! This year’s Reader Con is going to super awesome and even more memorable because:
I’ll be speaking in a panel discussion. For realz. I’ll be representing the book blog Will Read for Feels (yes, I do blog about books, too!) in a talk about blog tours and how to help Filipino authors take advantage of this fun and exciting way to promote their books.
Bookish discussions. Aside from the panel I’ll be speaking on, there are also other bookish discussions that worth checking out. If only I had a time turner so I can attend all panels!
Bookish activities. Writing communities such as the #romanceclass and the Romance Writers of the Philippines (RWP) will be having a booth during the event as well as spearheading some activities that I’ll also be a part of. #romanceclass will host a live reading session of romance indie titles by theater artists Gio Gahol and Rachel Coates, while the RWP will have an author speed dating activity that will hopefully introduce authors to new readers.
I’m selling print copies of my books! Finally! I’ll have a few copies of In Over Her Head, Fall for Grace, and Bloodline Maharlika (order form here) for sale during the event, so I hope you can attend and get your copies. I’ll also be giving away a few freebies to those who will purchase my books (while supplies last).
Don’t forget to register your attendance and sign up for your choice of panels and activities to join in. See you there!
