Disclaimer: I’ve known Celestine Trinidad’s brand of magical writing in the many speculative fiction anthologies she’s part of. Her stories were the ones that have always stood out and became memorable to me that she’s become one of my auto-buy / auto-read authors in the genre. Her first foray into romance was sort of an exciting thing for me as a fan of her work. But let me tell you nothing…and I mean NOTHING braced me for what was to come when I started reading Ghost of a Feeling.
2016 is already proving to be a busy year! Here are some updates that I hope you’d be interested to support, especially for those of you who are into reading local romances.
1. The #romanceclass podcast is now on its 4th episode with a special author interview session. Here’s the list so far:
There will be 10 episodes and a few other extras, so why don’t you go ahead and buy the podcast album? It’s going to be worth your while, promise!
If you’ve been following the #romanceclass activities, then you’re aware that we’re pushing the envelope when it comes to getting our books out there. Last month, we’ve given readers a preview of live readings (thanks to Mina V. Esguerra and Tania Arpa) featuring theater actors Rachel Coates and Gio Gahol.
And now we have a podcast!
You’ll be able to listen to excerpts from #romanceclass books, which includes In Over Her Head, in a series of episodes. All you need to do is to subscribe to our podcast channel!
We have a giveaway up for grabs, too! Enter to win books from all featured titles in Season 1.
Thank you for supporting indie Pinoy authors!
I attended almost every ReaderCon (with the exception of last year’s as it fell on a weekday), but this year’s event was special to me because of a lot of things.
1. Selling books & being part of a writing community
Being part of #romanceclass and the Romance Writers of the Philippines opened up my world to a lot of new friends, opportunities, and other fun things I wouldn’t have accomplished on my own. It was also a thrilling experience to be able to sell my books, meet new readers, and just hang out with fellow indie authors. Just look at our lovely booth! Who would’ve thought we were all running under less than 5 hours of sleep with all that energy?
